Very lovely, but maybe you should put a mature filter on there

I concur. That's why DA has mature filters for nudity . . . for art with . . . nudity. But how's the saying go? You can lead a horse to water, but you can't make them drink.

Thank you for your agreement. This truly is a stellar piece, its quite beautiful, but there is a filter for nudity, and what should happen to go under there? Nudity. This was just my opinion you guys shouldn't get all worked up about it. If you don't agree with it ignore it. Its not like what you say will change my mind. You can say something about it, just don't single me out next time. Just make your own comment about how you think it shouldn't have a filter, or note me about it or something at least. Thank you c:

I get why people might avoid using a flag, because they would get fewer viewers and couldn't use their artwork to catch people's attention. But still, on a DD, where something gets so much exposure, on the front page, even for viewers who have the mature content filter on--it would be a nice courtesy to use appropriate flags, yeah? ;)

Thank, someone who isnt against my thoughts. I did not respond to the others sorry for not doing so I just didn't want to fight on this.
I just thought well its a lovely piece but I'm sorry I just don't want to see, well, nudity. I was not trying to offend anyone, like I said this is a lovely piece of artwork and it truly is amazing, I do see the true beauty but. I just thought there should be a filter. Not that wrong to share an opinion, Hm? Thank you.

I'm pretty sure a boob with a fully-exposed nipple counts as nudity by most standards. Not sure what DA's exact policy it, but that is what the Mature:Nudity flag is for.

You mean that teeny tiny bit of nipple that's hard to notice? I'd be much more worried about children seeing the mismatched, macabre body parts than the tiny lil nipple.

I don't know what DA' policy is on breasts. I've seen them in tagged and untagged pieces before.

This piece IS lovely, powerful and lyrical.
Mature filter?? Are you serious?? I wish people could truly appreciate the art on here without feeling like it's their place in the world to censor others. Maybe we might instead choose to enjoy the beauty as opposed to finding shame and filth in everything. It's a statement of our own inner thoughts :/

The mature flags don't censor anything. They are a warning to people who don't prefer to see nudity, especially for kids. The flags allow people to choose what they see. Plus, it keeps out anyone who would complain about nudity, such as is occurring here. Using flags is a courtesy and a gesture of respect--they aren't even mandatory.

(I'm pretty sure a boob with a fully-exposed nipple counts as nudity by most standards. I believe that's why there are complaints.)

Yes, they do sensor and yes it is mandatory and I am asking a hypothetical here (FYI). It is more a statement of these people who complain and turn others in because they are petty and have nothing better to do. Men have breasts with nipples and art with that showing isn't tagged. You have to look REALLY hard at this pic to find the nipple and those who are looking to complain will indeed search. A child wouldn't notice it. How about the respect of not complaining and turning people in? Hmmm??? Do museums have signs over the paintings and sculptures?? What is so offensive about the human body anyway? We don't sensor animal depictions or cloth them. Realllyyy??? If you are offended by the picture choose another venue, site or simply don't click on the thumbnail!!!

I never said I was offended. I was agreeing with a person who thought artists on DA should respect DA's rules. You are asking me to choose a different venue because I think the members of a group should follow the group's rules? If you think that's something to apologize for, perhaps you should be arguing with DA, not me.

Incidentally, if the nudity is obvious in the thumbnail, clicking vs. not clicking is moot, now isn't it?

My point was that asking for a flag that indicates an aspect of the content is not censorship. You can still post nudity and worse. It doesn't even have to go through an approval process, so you can break all the rules if you want to be that sort of person. How is it censorship when even the CVs don't enforce those rules? Calling a flag censorship is like calling movie ratings (PG-13, etc.) censorship. Is it also censorship for people to ask you to wear clothes? Is it censorship to categorize books by genre in a bookstore?

Call me crazy, but I believe if you like a group and call yourself a member of it, you should respect its rules and its members. Why would you join a group if you disagree with it policies?

I am not asking you anything, this was never about you, why would you jump in the middle of my reply about someone else's comment and flagging? Odd really. Nor was I speaking of DA's rules. I don't wish to argue or have anything to do with you, I am truly bored by this. There must be better things to write about.

To Popini, your piece really is wonderful and I apologize for my part in this inane conversation, it's rude please forgive me.

What a beautiful piece in it's own surreal, weird way. The way everything changes, the eyes and the other fox, and then the characters in the middle together with the name pokes my imagination. Greay use of colours, too. It's so weird, but still makes sense in some way. A very great work, I love it.
